How? Because when, in december 2009 Unilever invited us to pitch for several Dero projects, one of them was the summer 2010 limited edition promotional campaign. Together with Neon Entertainment we found the perfect destination for a dream holiday – in Varadero, Cuba. Since Varadero literally means ‘the Dero Summer’, we knew right away we had the perfect ingredients for a colourful and exciting story....a story with scents of coconut and tropical flowers, a story about sunny beaches, clear waters, wise parrots and Cuban sounds. A beautiful country (kingdom, to be more precise), Swazi is unfortunately marked by the highest HIV incidence rate in the world (over 40%). Promoting HIV testing is not an easy job. We have, however, succeeded to grow the number of people getting a test by repositioning the idea of the AIDS test when in a couple.
